Bonnie L. Pernice, MSW, CDP, ACC
Human Services & Regulatory Consultant
Bonnie Pernice is from upstate New York and has been a health care professional for over 30 years. She started as the Education and Training Coordinator for the State of Florida. In this role, she created and provided training to the community on topics such as behavioral management techniques, person-centered care plans, and was the editor and a content contributor for a special project for the governor.
As an inspector of medically related facilities for the Agency for Health Care (AHCA), Ms. Pernice gained expertise in elder and behavior care services.
Her success stems from her eye for detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to motivate others. For many years she had her own consulting firm on the east coast of Florida. When she moved to the west coast of Florida, she joined the RB Health Team and has participated in many successful back-to-compliance projects.
Ms. Pernice is a Nationally Certified Activities Consultant and has a passion for bringing quality of life to nursing home residents. She is one of approximately 80 people in the country qualified to instruct the certification process for the National Certification Council for Activities Professionals. She has an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Psychology from the State University of Plattsburg, New York, and a master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University. Ms. Pernice has experience in the development of policies and procedures, training programs, and long-term care rules, regulations, and compliance.
