Deborah A. Duhaime, RN, HCRM, QCP, RAC-CTA
Manager of Clinical Quality Improvement
Debbie Duhaime worked with RB Health Partners, Inc. since 2016, and has been a nurse for over 40 years. She is an expert in the RAI process, PDPM, and resident-centered care planning, holding credentials as a Resident Assessment Coordinator Advanced and a QAPI certified professional (QCP) through AAPACN (American Association of Post-Acute Nursing Association), previously known as AANAC. She was licensed through Florida as a health care risk manager, until that state’s program dissolved, but continues to pursue advanced learning on the subject through educational offerings.
She most recently achieved successful completion of a 10-hour certification program on ICD-10 coding and guidelines. Debbie has active RN licenses with the Florida state compact and the states of Connecticut, Illinois, and Massachusetts.
Debbie began her health care career as a Certified Nursing Assistant while in high school. After earning her Connecticut RN license, she went on to work as a critical care nurse at a major Connecticut trauma hospital. She gained vital assessment skills while working as a staff nurse, and then as a head nurse, in the neurological, surgical, cardiothoracic, and burn intensive care units.
Following her work in the acute care hospitals, Debbie again called on her assessment and managerial skills as a community health nurse, working primarily with the geriatric population, in an underserved and impoverished community. As a community health nurse, she performed a variety of different clinical and social tasks including education, community outreach, and end-of-life services.
After getting married and starting a family, Debbie transitioned to the long-term care setting. This career proved to be her passion and has stayed with her while she and her family have lived in Connecticut, Maine, and Florida. While in long-term care, Debbie has progressively advanced her career from a staff nurse to managerial roles. She has functioned as a nursing supervisor, staff educator, Assistant Director of Nursing, Risk Manager, MDS Coordinator, and Clinical Reimbursement Director.
Her nursing experience allows her to provide valuable assistance to our RBHP clients in a variety of ways, including remote and on-site interim MDS Coordinator work, 1:1 on-site and remote MDS and PDPM training, quality assurance compliance audits, and pre-survey readiness throughout the country.
Debbie and her husband Larry currently reside on the west coast of Florida. They enjoy traveling, photography, car shows, the beach, and warm Florida weather and most especially spending time with their children and grandchildren.
